PAMELLA OPIYO

M/s Opiyo is the Chief Executive Officer of STIPA since 2021. She is a holder of Masters of Science degree in Management of Agricultural Knowledge Systems from Wageningen University and Research Centre in the Netherlands. Pamella is a practising Development Advisor with long experience in management and capacity building in various fronts, seasoned researcher and author, Monitoring and evaluation among others.

She did freelance consultancy between 2013-2021 with local and international organisations. She has previously held positions of Associate Advisor/Consultant SNV South Sudan (2012), Acting Portfolio Co-ordinator, Senior Advisor in Agriculture (Private Sector Development), Senior Advisor, Education, HIV/AIDS and Gender for SNV (Netherlands Development Organization-Zambia) [2005-2011], Assistant Programme Manager (Millennium Villages Project) [2005], Social Scientist (Christian Children's Fund) [2003-2004], Capacity Development/Researcher (ICRAF Kenya) [2001], Agriculture Co-ordinator (Inter Diocesan Christian Community Services) [1997-1999], and Agriculture Co-ordinator (Diocese of Maseno West) [1990-1996].

She has experience in Strategic Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, Participatory Integrated Community Development. She has also participated in evaluations such as the Integrated Community Development Program in the Diocese of Mara, Tanzania, Mid Term Review of countrywide Integrated Health and Agriculture Programme in CRS, Siaya Integrated Development Programme on sustainable agriculture, health micro-finance, and leadership training. She was also involved in the World Bank for Social Assessment of the Arid Lands Resource Management Programme in the North Eastern and Eastern provinces of Kenya.
