NATURE POSITIVE SOLUTIONS PROJECT

The project is driven by our role in climate action where we empower local communities like the Tich en Tich Makwangala Women Group to create sustainable solutions for a cleaner and greener future.

With support of International Water Management Institute (IWMI) through Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM Kenya) the project centres on recycling of agro-waste to make useful materials in a bid to conserve the environment and reduce the impact of climate change.

Through briquette production, the resilient women in Kisumu East Sub County are transforming agricultural waste into eco-friendly energy, reducing dependency on traditional charcoal and helping curb deforestation.

STIPA also engages with local farmers in Seme Sub County on the power of composting that not only reduces waste, but also enriches the soil. This leads to healthier and more resilient plants with increased yield thus promoting sustainable agriculture
